Features

These square wine filter pads are for a Wine filter unit. Each pad is 40 cm x 40 cm. Thickness varies with each model; see table below for more information.

One way you can raise your wines to a higher level of perfection is by employing the use of filtration. You can enhance its appearance, shorten its aging time, lighten its body and colour if so desired, or make the wine more stable, reducing the chance of re-fermentation while in the bottle.

Flush filter pads with plenty of cold water before introduction of wine or beer. This procedure softens the pores, maximises the available surface area and leads to better filtration and longer pad life. Always keep heavy solids from the bottom of the container out of filter presses.

The rough side of the pad always faces the INLET plates.

For all regular beer bottles, white Crown Seals creates a great seal and easy to use. Crafted in Australia, this crown seal is of excellent quality. These crown seals will still have a great seal and will seal both screw top and pry off bottles.

Instructions:

If you're into brewing or distilling this will make your life easier, This 500ml formula is also great at adjusting the pH of Sparge water and your Mash's pH. If you prefer a more traditional pH adjustment, we would suggest ingredients like Acidulated Malt or our Lactic Acid.
Phosphoric acid (AKA orthophosphoric acid or H3PO4) is a mineral inorganic acid that can be used as a non-foaming/non-rinse sanitiser when diluted to water to a concentration of 1mL/2L.
Phosphoric acid is also an excellent chemical to use when passivating stainless steel.
Phosphoric acid can also be completely motabilised by yeast and will also act as a yeast nutrient if it ends up in your fermenter.

Made in Italy. This easy-to-use telescopic siphon works with demijohns and most vessels with a narrower opening.
