The manual fruit shredder does not need any electricity to operate. Fruits and berries can be crushed before pressing with the Fratelli Baesso B100 shredder. Two rollers with grate-shaped stainless steel blades are included in the shredder.

A wide flywheel on the side of the shredder rotates to power the manual fruit shredder. The large flywheel provides inertia, reducing the amount of power needed to operate the shredder. The apple shredder should be mounted on a stable support, such as between two chairs or tables, for smooth and convenient operation. Also open-top tank or bucket should be placed under the shredder for collecting crushed apples.

Working with this shredder needs two people. One is turning the flywheel to operate the shredder, while the other is putting fruit into the funnel. This method can shred up to 300 kilogrammes of apples per hour.
The handy apple shredder is ideal for small apple garden owners or others who want to make apple juice many times but in small batches.

Baesso presses are traditional hand-operated cylindrical presses. Presses are produced by a company with centenary history; that means experience and skills handed down through many generations. This type of press with its long-lasting history is very popular among customers

This model features a stainless steel basket and an enamel coated frame. The principle of operation is very easy. It is needed to fill the press’s cage with crushed apples or pears. The pressing plate exerts pressure on the fruit mass and the juice leaks from the cage to the tray and from the tray to the collection vessel.

The DMCSI is composed of a hopper and a case, both those and all the screws are made of stainless-steel. Inside the hopper there’s a screw conveyor which continuously moves the grapes toward the rollers. The powerful engine mounted on the side generates a rotatory movement which is transferred to all the mechanisms: the rollers for the crushing, the screw conveyor and the destemming shaft, which works with the extractable stainless-steel grid to separate the grapes from the stems. The rollers and all the gears are made in nylon, material which guarantees reliability and sturdiness. Thanks to the special supports, the rollers are adjustable by a few millimeters.

For the serious home winemaker or a very small winery, this machine represents an amazing value. It is gentle, easy to load, and pumps the grapes into your awaiting fermenter, eliminating the need for a separate must pump.

Here is how it works. You put fruit in the top bin and the screw feed moves the fruit to the left where it drops down into the destemming chamber. The fruit is destemmed and grapes drop down through the grate to the next level. Stems are ejected out the end of the destemming chamber and onto a tarp on the ground. After the fruit drops through the destemming chamber it falls into a bin at the bottom of the machine that has a screw feed. The screw feed pushes the grapes to the right where they are pushed into a circular chamber. In the circular chamber, a paddle wheel, pushes grapes back out the exit tube you attach, and into the awaiting fermenters.

We recommend this machine for small wineries or larger home producers who do not wish to make the considerable jump to truly commercial quality equipment. You can make very, very good wine with this machine and we often tell small winery owners that the money saved can be used more effectively in other ways to make great wine.
