Wine wants a bit of air and a glass that lets you actually smell what is in it. This is the serving and tasting side of the craft, the part that comes after the ferment is done and you want to see how the batch is really tracking.
For tasting, the Bormioli Rocco Riserva taster glasses come as a set of six at 213ml, and the Luigi Bormioli DOC 215ml has a cut finish. Both are sized for judging a wine rather than pouring a big glass of it. Grappa gets its own small glass, and the Bormioli Restaurant 80ml comes in threes. For serving there is the Misura carafe for wine or water, a 1 litre ACROROC carafe from France, the Classic and Colt decanters, and the Gamma crystal duck style decanter by Bormioli Rocco if you want a bit of theatre on the table. The H and H Brocca is a vintage style jug at 1.2 litres, and there is a Euro style beer jug at 1140ml for the brewers.
The valenche is the one most people walk past. It is a glass wine thief, straight at 250ml and 50cm long or bent at 500mm, and it lets you draw a sample from a barrel or tank without pulling the whole thing apart. Draw a little, taste it, put the bung back.
