Home > Sauce Making

Passata day is the one weekend of the year the whole family turns up. This is the equipment that makes it work, from the machine that separates skin and seed through to the bottle you open next winter.

The machine first. Electric sauce machines from FLB and RGV for volume, manual sauce machines if you would rather turn a handle, complete kits to get started, and spare parts because these machines are meant to be repaired rather than replaced.

Then the heat. Gas burners in single and double ring for the big pots, and the cooking pots and paddles to go on them.

Then the bottling. Glass sauce bottles and jars in the classic 720ml Italian passata style and Bormioli Rocco preserving jars, with the caps and closures matched to fit them properly.

One hundred and seventy nine lines. Order early: the sauce machines sell out every February and we would rather you had one than a rain check.
