Crown Seal Caps & Bidul
The cap is the last thing between months of work and a flat, oxidised bottle. It is also the cheapest part of the whole exercise, which is why it is worth getting right rather than using whatever is left in the shed.
Most of what moves here is the 26mm crown seal for standard beer bottles. Morgans do them in plain crown caps, silver and green, including 8500 per box for anyone bottling seriously. Ferrari bring the Italian red crown seals and gold caps at the same 26mm, and there are gold 100 packs as well. Still Spirits do a 26mm gold twist off cap if your bottles take one. For sparkling, the 29mm tirage crown seals are the ones you want, available in metal and in a gold box of 6000 to suit champagne bottles. On the plastic side there are Morgans PET screw caps in packs of 60 and Morgans PET beer bottles in boxes of fifteen 750ml. A twist action bottle opener rounds it out.
