Most leaks in a shed or a small winery are not the pump and they are not the tank. They are the fitting in between, where somebody has forced a hose onto the wrong size barb and trusted a clamp to sort it out. Getting the barb and the thread right the first time saves a lot of mopping.
Work out two things: the internal diameter of your hose, and the thread on the equipment. We carry hosetails at 12.5 mm, 19 to 20 mm, 25 mm and 38 mm. Stainless AISI 316 is the pick for wine, spirits and anything acidic, and comes in male BSP and female BSM, including a double rolled 25 mm female. Brass is the traditional fitting on Italian pumps, so we stock Rover barbs at 19 to 20 mm with a 0.75 BSP female, a 90 degree bend with a 25 mm BSP female, and a nickel plated 14 mm barb with a 19 mm nut. There is also a stainless three way tee at 12.5 mm for splitting a line, a Kegland carbon inline gravity filter column kit and a C type DIN nut spanner for doing fittings up properly.
Worth knowing: warm the hose end in hot water before you push it on. It slides over the barb without cracking and grips harder once it cools.
