Pasta Machines & Pasta Makers
A pasta machine is one of the few kitchen tools that can outlast the person who bought it. Clamp it to the bench, feed it a ball of dough, and in a few passes you have silky sheets for lasagne, ravioli or tagliatelle. These are the pasta machines and pasta makers we stock and service from our shops at Laverton North and Epping.
For most home kitchens, start with a 150mm manual roller. The Imperia 150 has been made in Turin since 1932. It rolls sheets 150mm wide in six thicknesses, comes with a double cutter for tagliatelle and fettuccine, and takes extra cutters and a ravioli attachment as you go. Add the Pasta Facile motor later if you get tired of turning the handle. Habi and Incasa make simpler, lower-priced 150mm machines if you just want to give fresh pasta a go.
Making pasta for a crowd, a cafΓ© or a restaurant? The Imperia Restaurant R220 rolls a 210mm sheet with ten thickness settings, in a manual version or with the motor built in, fixed or variable speed. For short pasta like maccheroni and fusilli, a rolling machine will not do the job. You want an extruder. The bench-mounted pasta press with brass dies is the hand-cranked option, and the Imperia electric extruder handles 1.5 to 2kg batches.
For shapes rollers cannot make, the Little Mama and Big Mamma makers turn out cavatelli and gnocchetti, smooth or ridged.
Not sure which suits your kitchen? Read our guide to choosing a pasta machine, or come in and turn the handle on one before you buy. Cutting attachments, ravioli moulds, drying racks and spare parts are all stocked, so a machine bought here can be kept going for decades. Part of our Pasta Making range.

The Little Mama machine prepares homemade pasta such as smooth or grooved cavatelli and gnocchetti quickly and easily.
- Easy to assemble and disassemble
- Practical to clean: it requires neither chemical products nor a dishwasher
- Prepares spaghetti, tagliatelle, gnocchetti, and cavatelli quickly
- Made with plastic materials certified for food use
- Made In Italy
Whether making using the more old-fashioned semolina flour and water pasta dough, or making ricotta cavatelli, arguably the most rigorous step is forming the tiny cavatelli themselves. Once ready and rested, cavatelli dough must be cut into smaller sections and rolled out into long, thin logs, then individually cut and shaped. In order to shape an efficient system would be to use a machine like the Italian-made Little Mamma Cavatelli Maker.
A simple, table mounted cavatelli maker using a series of rollers and a rotating cutting arm, the handy cavatelli maker turns long strands of pasta into individually formed cavatelli quickly and easily. The little logs of dough are fed into one side of the unit, fed through the rollers (for shaping), cut into uniform pieces and fed out the other side - all powered by the turn of a single crank handle! The Little Mamma Cavatelli Maker uses tough, corrosion resistant food safe nylon and this increases robustness and longevity, and makes it easy to clean. The nylon rollers are set in a solid aluminium body that locks onto tabletops or work surfaces for steady, stress-free operation.

Original Italian pasta machine "Big Mama" carries genuine passion for homemade pasta to the table. For the production of Cavatelli and Gnocchetti - smooth or grooved.
With cutting attachments for classic round spaghetti 2 mm, round spaghettoni 9 mm and tagliatelle 9 mm. Can be used for whole grain flour as well as gluten-free flour.
Can be used manually by hand crank.
Spaghetti, tagliatelle, cavatelli and gnocchetti have never been so simple to prepare! Mouth- watering and appetizing dishes that bring together the Italian tradition of cooking with the love of eating healthy that distinguishes the Mediterranean diet, all to savour with your family and friends.
Can be used manually by hand crank which is included in the box contents and can be removed after use. The machine is securely mounted to a table edge using a table clamp.
Two different types of gnocchis can be made here: Cavatelli or Sardine Gnocchetti. You need a long dough strand which you can then turn through the moulding plastic rollers. Thanks to the crank movement, a wing wheel rotates - the gnocchis are shaped and cut off. High quality and workmanship, made in Italy.
Easy to clean: just wipe the casing with a damp cloth (without washing up liquid) and wipe out the dough residue with a brush (Not dishwasher safe).

The body of the press is not made from brass. It is made from heavy-duty cast metal for strength and durability, while the dies are solid brass, which is ideal for traditional pasta making as it creates a rougher surface that helps sauce cling better.
The press typically comes with a starter set of brass dies (varies slightly by batch), commonly including shapes such as:
- Spaghetti
- Fettuccine
- Maccheroni
- Bucatini
