Olive season is short in Victoria and everything has to be ready before the fruit comes off the tree. This is the gear our customers come back for every autumn: hand rakes and nets for harvesting, pitters for table olives, food grade pails for curing in brine, and the tanks and dark glass bottles that keep new oil from going stale.
If you are pressing your own fruit, the presses and press baskets sit alongside this range and our team can talk you through what suits the number of trees you have. For storage, the olive oil tanks come with screw lids, welded or folded bases and taps in half inch BSP, so you can draw off a bottle at a time instead of opening the whole tank to the air.
Bottling is where good oil is usually lost. The Marasca and Dorica bottles we stock are Italian made in antique green glass, which cuts the light that turns fresh oil rancid, and the pre-threaded metal caps and pourers actually fit them. For the harvest itself there are nets and rakes and olive pitters in both hand and spring styles.
