Whiskey Finishing Kit

Turn your clean spirit into something for the shelf. This kit covers the flavouring, the oak and the bottles, and it works with spirit from any still.

What’s in the kit

• Top Shelf Select Single Whiskey flavouring
• French oak chips, medium toast, 200 g
• 4 x 1125 ml spirit bottles with screw caps
• Alcohol hydrometer, 0 to 100%
• Hydrometer test cylinder, 270 ml

• Your base spirit

How it works

1. Check your strength with the hydrometer and test cylinder.
2. Flavour your spirit, following the directions on the sachet.
3. Oak it. Add the chips to your spirit, steep to taste, then strain them out.
4. Bottle it and give it time.
