This is the end of the line, the table rather than the shed. Once the bottle is open, a few small bits make the pouring tidier and the night longer.

Pourers first. The plastic chrome pourer sits in a spirit bottle and gives you a steady, controlled measure, while the wine drop stop pourer is the thin disc you roll into the neck so nothing runs down the label. For getting bottles open there is a twist action bottle opener for crown caps and the Ferrari Easy Decap cap remover. If you are tasting seriously, or walking a group through a few wines, the 1.2 Lt plastic spittoons in black and burgundy do the job without ceremony. There is also a stainless steel coffee cup and saucer, and an Italian glass water bottle 1L with a hermetic flip top seal for the table.

The Modiano Italian playing cards belong here for a reason. Napoletane, Siciliane, Triestine and Trevigiane decks, in card or plastic, are what gets pulled out after dinner in half the households we serve.

A small thing worth doing: rinse a spirit pourer in warm water after a session. Sugar out of a liqueur sets hard in the spout and you will be picking at it a week later.
