Making your own drinks comes down to the same handful of jobs every time. Ferment it cleanly, move it without picking up oxygen, then get it into a bottle that actually seals. This is where we keep the gear that crosses over between beer, wine, spirits and vinegar, so you are not hunting through four categories to find one fitting.
Start with the vessel. Our narrow neck and wide neck glass demijohns come from Italy with PVC baskets. Wide neck is far easier to clean and easier to load with fruit or must. Narrow neck suits a longer, quieter ferment and takes a demijohn cap or a bored silicone bung with an airlock. For bigger volumes, Algor inflatable seals cover variable capacity tanks. On the finishing end we stock 750ml claret flint bottles, 375ml BVS bottles, Diam corks, Novatwist screw caps for BVS necks, and Ferrari expansion stoppers for anything you want to shut again tomorrow.
One thing worth knowing. Oxy Clean sodium percarbonate will lift the ring inside a demijohn that no brush can reach, but it needs a good hot soak and a proper rinse. Citric acid afterwards neutralises what is left and keeps the glass clear. Most of the off flavours people blame on their yeast started life as a lazy clean.

Morgan's classic products are born from the traditional skills of the master maltster where careful roasting and kilning nurture the release of nature's full flavours and aromas. Morgan's brewing company uses only the highest quality two row barley and premium grade hops to produce this range of beer kits. Their unique kettling guarantees the superb final clarity of this truly superior brew.
How To Brew?
Suitable for one or two stage fermentation.
- Mixing: Pour 2 litres of hot water into sanitised fermenter, add contents of can and 1kg (2.25lbs) of another fermentable eg dextrose, malt or Morgan’s Master Blends. Stir contents to dissolve, add cold water to bring the total contents up to 23 litres. When temperature is between 22-30 degrees C (71-86 deg F) add yeast and stir actively for 30 seconds. Morgan’s kits need no boiling due to our unique kittling during manufacture.
- Fermenting: Seal fermenter with lid and air lock, allow to ferment at a constant temperature between 22 – 30 deg C until specific gravity reaches 1005 or below. Complete fermentation will take 5 days at 25 deg C (77 deg F) but will take longer in lower temperatures. Warning: Using a beer hydrometer, be sure fermentation is finished (SG 1005 or below) before bottling, adding only the correct amount of sugar to each bottle, otherwise overgassed bottles could explode.
- Bottling: Sterlize bottles, add 6g (0.212oz) of sugar to each 750 ml bottle, 3g (0.106oz) for every 375ml then fill with brew to the normal level and cap.
- Maturing: Allow bottles to stand at a temperature of 22-30 deg C for 5 days to allow beer to carbonate. Allow another 10 days at room temperature to fully mature. The finished beer will continue to improve with further ageing.

Grappa essence from Prestige, product code 41034, in a 20ml bottle from Sweden. Grappa is one that comes up constantly at our counter, usually from customers whose family made it and who want something that heads in that direction. This is the essence route rather than the traditional one, and it is a good deal less work. Twenty millilitres does a batch, so it is an easy one to try. Follow the directions on the bottle. Plenty of our customers have a firm opinion on grappa, and we are always happy to hear it at Laverton North or Epping.

Stepless clamps are built to tighten in an exact circle around the hosing; simply crimp (not squeeze) the stepless clamp closed with a crimping tool or the middle cutter on your pliers.
With these stainless steel stepless clamps, we can spruce up your crimp. Because of the thicker internal wall, these 7-10mm clamps will suit our 4mm ID beer line.
Many home brewers use worm drive hose clamps, which are convenient because they can be reused, but they don't perform very well on beer lines. The worm drive has a tendency to pinch the line on one side, causing the hose to leak or lowering the system's pressure holding power.
These stepless clamps are significantly better because they form even compression around the whole diamater of the line. This makes a much better and more reliable connection.
Clamps Stepless Stainless Steel OD 7-10mm Hose for ID 5mm Beer Line.
From $85.00 AUD
The SodaStream Adapter Hose is the easy way to transfer CO2 from a full cylinder directly to your SodaStream machine. You won't ever have to buy small, expensive cylinders again! This adapter comes in lengths of 72 inches and 36 inches.

These are accurately made and batch tested for consistency, with the different colours suited to different Psi ratings.
This important safety mechanism has been manufactured to tight specifications to ensure it's reliability.
Please be aware that these pressure relief valves should be clean and maintained to work correctly. If dried up beer or sugar gets into the pressure relief valve then clean this out immediately as this can effect the safe working and opening pressures.
These Pressure Release Valves (PRV) and calibrated and suited to different Psi ratings.
