Pot & Reflux Stills & Accessories

A pot still and a reflux still are two different tools. A pot still carries flavour through, which is what you want when the character of the wash is the whole point. A reflux setup strips that back towards neutral. Plenty of people end up owning something that can do a bit of both.

Most of what we stock here is the Still Spirits Air Still family. The 4 Lt Air Still distillation package at 240 V is the usual starting point, and the Air Still Pro Complete Distillery is the fuller setup. Because it is a system, the parts are all available on their own: the Pro column cap, the botanicals basket for gin work, the pump, the float ball, the steel ball, the foreshots collection shut off plate, the rubber ring, and the Air Still fermentation kit for the wash itself. On the copper side, Pure Distilling supply a 1 1/2 inch thread adaptor, copper mesh repacking for a condenser, and a 50 mm triclover bubble plate as a two piece assembly for anyone building a column.

Practical advice: repack or replace your copper mesh regularly. Copper is doing real work in there, and once it is tarnished and tired it stops pulling its weight.
