Rice hulls act like little spacers in your mash tun to aid in liquid moving freely through. This aids in preventing stuck mashes and aiding in sparging efficiency. If you're using a high amount of Wheat, Rye, Spelt, Barley, Quinoa or any other grain without husk like Barley, we highly recommend adding some Rice Hulls to your grain order. Combine the Rice Hulls at the start of your mash. Stirring as needed. Usage Rate 5% for an average grain bill Up to 25% where necessary
